THE ROLE

We are currently recruiting for a Quantity Surveyor to work on an Infrastructure Project in Perth managing a broad range of subcontractor and supplier agreements across a range of commercial models within the post-contracts administration phase of the project.

Furthermore, you will be responsible for the analysis and interpretation of the contract, paying special attention to clauses and conditions for better alignment with the company's interests.

Key accountabilities for the position will be:

• Responsible for monitoring changes of design and advise on cost of alterations and variations
  
• Development and management of commercial delivery strategy, including identification and delivery of opportunity development and conversion
  
• Preparation of detailed cost plans, material lists, and monthly project valuation reports
  
• Review, negotiate and manage Major, Minor Works and/or Design and Construct Contracts with subcontractors, requiring a fundamental understanding of AS 4903-2000, a reference document for the general conditions of subcontract for design and construct
  
• Studies architectural and engineering sketches and specifications to prepare preliminary cost estimates
  
• Collaborate with and consult with relevant internal stakeholders

What you will need?

• Previous experience in a similar role ideally from within the construction sector.
  
• Tertiary qualifications or equivalent in quantity surveying/engineering
  
• Must be able to prepare cost estimates and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
  
• Must be able to measure and produce a bill of quantities
