About the Role:

Our Orontide Engineering Services Bunbury team has an exciting opportunity for a Trainee Purchasing Officer to join our friendly and supportive team. 

The successful candidate will be trained and mentored to be able to perform the following:

• Responsible for co-ordination of all receivable goods into the store, including all documentation relating to the task
• Ensuring that purchasing procedures, as per company QMS is adhered to
• Management of inventory for client contracts including documentation and certification
• Plan all goods inwards needed in time to suit job priority.
• Issue jobs, when ready, to the Supervisors / Leading hands for execution.
• Ensure that job history and costing is kept accurate.
• Liaise with sub-contractors, vendors and suppliers as required.
• Assist the Supervisors when emergency work is required to be carried out.
• Type up quotations, letters, memo’s for clients as required
• Assist Managers with adhering to client delivery expectations
• Transfer inventory items to jobs.
• Maintain good supplier relationships
• Ensure Safety, Environmental and Quality compliance
• General Office duties as required

The successful candidate will have:

• Graduated year 12
• Live in Bunbury WA or surrounding suburbs 
• A ‘can do’ attitude and a willingness to learn
• Experience in a customer service role 

In addition you would be required to be medically fit and able to pass drug & alcohol testing.
