What you will contribute to 

As the Workshop Manager, you will be responsible for the coordination of all fleet/equipment maintenance within the branch and responsible for the daily supervision of the vehicles and employees involved in the workshop.

• Ensuring all workshop/equipment staff/contractors are only undertaking activities on those Company vehicles/equipment for which they hold a current and appropriately endorsed drivers licence
• Control expenditure on maintenance and running costs
• Manage the workshop and equipment functions through internal resources and outsourced subcontractors
• Work with the national Fleet & Equipment manager on the development of medium to long term fleet plans
• Ensure all OHS&E, compliance, and legislative requirements are met
• Assisting Management in the development and management of capital and expense budgets and forecasts
• Undertake any other duties, accountabilities and responsibilities as directed

Your skills and experience

• Proven experience in supervising equipment workshops advantageous 
• Experience in leading large teams
• Knowledge of Western Australia Heavy Vehicle Accreditation (WAHVA)
• Strong track record in safety leadership and performance
• Demonstrated ability to work within budgetary guidelines
• Proven experience within the waste or transport industry is preferred 
• Background in heavy vehicle maintenance
• Good interpersonal skills
• Mechanical qualifications (HV Mechanics required)
