The Role

Reporting to the IT Manager and working as part of a close-knit team your primary purpose will be to provide first line support to a varied and demanding user base with a myriad of support requirements. Mentored and coached by the IT Team, you will grow into the role with potential to be involved in IT projects as needed. The ideal candidate should have excellent verbal and written English skills, with a polite, positive and helpful attitude.

This is a Full-time position and your ideal working hours will be Monday to Friday 9:30am to 5:30pm but with some flexibility.

The main responsibilities of the role include:

  • 1st Line Support, answering calls and responding to tickets
  • Desktop Support: deploy, maintain, troubleshoot all desktop, laptop, tablet, phone, printer, photocopier and POS hardware and software
  • User Account Administration: create, modify and disable user accounts in Active Directory and all user applications including externally hosted systems, ensuring accuracy and timely activation/deactivation
  • Cloud SaaS Application Support and Administration including Hybrid Azure DC and Cisco Webex
  • User Support: Assist staff, members and office bearers with Windows and application issues
  • Network Administration: basic administration of networks
  • Liaise and escalate issues with suppliers
  • Documentation: create, update and maintain technical related documentation, to assist both users and the IT team
  • Responding in a timely manner to service issues and requests
  • Repairing and replacing equipment as necessary
  • Testing new technology and assisting on IT projects

Essential requirements:

  • Bachelor degree in IT or equivalent
  • 1+ years’ experience is not essential, albeit advantageous, however demonstration of a keen interest in IT is a must
  • High integrity
  • Excellent customer service skills and ability to exercise patience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Attention to detail, good time management and prioritisation skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Desirable Experience

  • Conferencing and Collaboration tools such as Zoom and Cisco WebEx, utilising to maximum effect, including meeting rooms and digital signage.
  • On Premise environments
  • Cisco Webex and Telephony
  • Cyber Security awareness
  • HP Aruba Networking, Storage and Servers
  • Aruba WiFi Infrastructure / Aruba Central
  • Windows 10 / Office deployment and management.
  • Ghost imaging
  • Kaseya VSA
  • POS Systems
  • Experience of Hospitality / Sporting environments
  • HP / Microsoft Surface computer systems.
