A fantastic full-time permanent opportunity has become available for a Truck Driver General Hand. The successful applicant will uphold and consistently demonstrate the City's values of Respect, Integrity, Customer Service and Team Work. 

Your responsibilities will include:

• Collection of RECYCLE, GENERAL AND FOGO waste daily for each route 
• Ensure minimal damage to bins and propert
• Ensure minimal missed service
• Pushing/pulling mobile bins to the truck
• Operating rear loader lifting gear
• Emptying truck at a transfer station when required
• Washing and hosing the truck each day
• Maintenance of existing bins, delivery of new and removal of old bins
• Understanding of and compliance with risk management and safety control measures   
• Take reasonable care for your own health and safety and that of your team mates, ensure PPE is worn at all times and follow all WHS policies and procedures.
• To report all, accidents, incidents and near misses immediately.

To be successful in this role you will have:

• Experience (minimum of one year) in operating Waste Collection or similar heavy vehicles.
• Sound interpersonal and team skills.
• Flexible work approach and a commitment to becoming multi-skilled
• Self-motivation and capacity to work under pressure
• Sound knowledge of safe manual handling techniques. 
• Sound knowledge of Work health and safety requirements. 

Desirable:

• First Aid Certificate
• Waste Industry experience/knowledge

Salary Range: $68,583 to $71,276 plus 11% employer superannuation and additional co-contribution to your superannuation.
