About the department

The Novo Nordisk Oceania affiliate is a high performing and growing organization operating within a dynamic healthcare environment across Australia and New Zealand. Our primary therapy areas are diabetes and obesity, and we offer a broad range of medicines within the areas of haemophilia, growth disorders and women’s health.

This newly created position reports into the Market Development Manager, within the Obesity Business Unit.

The Position
In this position, you will be responsible for unlocking opportunities and developing relationships within the pharmacy, wholesaler network, and developing innovative business models. You will maximize the potential and market penetration of Novo Nordisk’s obesity product portfolio, By contributing to the development and execution of the Oceania Obesity Pharmacy Strategy. You will also be a key lead in unlocking business opportunities by driving change in obesity care through developing new programs and business models to support more people living with Obesity.  

Your duties will include, but will not be limited to:   

  • Assist in the refinement and execution of the Oceania Obesity Pharmacy Strategy.
  • Develop strong relationships with key customers within the Pharmacy and Wholesaler network. Unlock new opportunities to improve the distribution value chain.
  • Share timely insights and learnings with key internal stakeholders.
  • Track key performance indicators to ensure the best possible experience is provided to our customers.
  • Strong value creation that contributes to the overall growth of the obesity business franchise.

Qualifications

  • Degree in related field (Business, Science, Pharmacy), MBA or master’s degree highly regarded.
  • Relevant field experience, 3-5 years as a minimum, in a National Account Manager capacity on Pharmacy channel, launch experience in a highly competitive and complex market. Strong and in-depth understanding of the Pharmacy market and Wholesaler dynamics as well as strong relationships with key senior players within the market.
  • Experience in developing relationships and working with multiple internal and external stakeholders on high profile cross-functional initiatives. Proven track record of unlocking opportunities and driving significant growth across the Pharmacy and Wholesaler network.
  • Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills as well as outstanding written and verbal communication skills.  A "Can Do" positive attitude with a passion for getting things done with excellence as well as the ability to think ‘outside the box’ would be highly desirable traits for this role.
  • Flexibility for regular travel in Australia is required (30% travel). Additionally, should be based in Melbourne or Sydney and must either be an Australian Citizen or have a current residency Visa to live and work in Australia.
