Our opportunity

As a Continuous Improvement Specialist, you will work closely with cross-functional teams, including development, construction, operations, and IT, to identify opportunities for increase efficiency, reduce costs, and improve business performance.

Your responsibilities are:

  • Lead overall framework for continuous improvement, providing guidance and support for Business Support Specialists; and building team capability in continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify, analyse, and document current business processes, pain points, and areas for improvement.
  • Establish process methodology and framework, including templates and standard to drive consistency across process areas.
  • Conduct regular process assessments and identify opportunities for automation, standardisation, and simplification with business partners and Digital.
  • Manage the continuous improvement roadmap for processes and systems, in partnership with Digital.
  • Partner with Digital to optimise software solutions to streamline processes, enhance data accuracy, and improve operational efficiency.
  • Lead Business Support team in the design and implementation of process improvements, including defining requirements and documenting processes.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of implemented solutions, capturing feedback and adapting as needed.
  • Analyse data and performance metrics to measure the success of process improvement initiatives and identify areas for further enhancements.
  • Remain current with industry best practices and emerging trends.
  • Collaborate with Digital to align core support processes and partner effectively with business teams, delivering continuous improvement, data integrity, and system reliability.
  • Act as a change agent by promoting a culture of continuous improvement and building buy-in for process improvement initiatives.
  • Manage change for key continuous improvement initiatives (including stakeholder mapping, change and communication activities)

Your point of difference

To be successful you will have appropriate tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline and/or equivalent knowledge and experience in continuous improvement.

Moderate experience in implementing and optimizing processes and software solutions and experience developing and adapting process improvement methodologies, such as Lean Six Sigma, Agile, or Kaizen is desirable.

You will be customer service focused with an ability to partner with business stakeholders to establish and delivery ongoing continuous improvement.

Finally you will be proficient in conducting process methodologies, selecting process tools, developing standards and templates, creating process flowcharts, and documenting business requirements.
