About the role 
  
As Senior Advisor, 13 11 20 you are responsible for coordinating the daily operations of Cancer Council Queensland’s 13 11 20 cancer information and support service to provide evidenced based information, support and referral to service users, health professionals and the general public.
  
This role is a Permanent, Part-Time role working 22.5 hours/week.    
    
About you  
   
To be successful in this role, you will be highly organised and be able to problem solve to ensure the efficient delivery of 13 11 20 telephone and e-support services. You will have a broad understanding of cancer care, and highly developed supportive care skills.
  
Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge and Skills 
 
Essential Skills: 
  • Qualifications in Nursing or Allied Health.
  • Registration with Australian Health Professional Regulation Authority (AHPRA) or respective professional body.
  • Demonstrated experience in or a post graduate qualification in Oncology.
  • Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively with people from all levels of the community.
  • Demonstrated experience in the application and use of Microsoft office suite.
  • Ability to use sound judgment and to oversee workloads within tight deadlines.
  • Strong work ethic and resilience.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate individuals and teams to achieve targets.
  • Organisational skills, including the ability to manage and prioritise multiple tasks.
