  • Full-time, fixed-term until 24 December 2025

The Opportunity

You will coordinate transition and engagement campaigns directed at those students that are at risk of disengaging, to facilitate study success. Transition campaigns (facilitated by experienced students who are appointed as Student Experience Mentors) prepare students for success as they commence university study and connect them with ongoing support for the duration of their degree. Engagement campaigns (facilitated by staff members) offer support and pathway options to students at risk of disengaging.

You will coordinate and implement strategies, initiatives and activities to improve retention, satisfaction and study outcomes. Playing a pivotal role in shaping the student experience, you will foster a sense of belonging to ensure students have the opportunity to feel connected and bridge the gap between students and their future professional self. You will understand students needs and aspirations, maximise participation in studies and enhance the on campus and student university experience. You will expertly liaise with stakeholders across the University to coordinate appropriate support and welfare mechanisms for students.

You will

  • coordinate the delivery of Student Experience call campaigns, including leadership, training and recruitment for team members who deliver Student Engagement Campaigns;
  • provide guidance to Student Experience Mentors to ensure they develop skills aligned with UniSC graduate attributes; and
  • manage call outcomes, audit call data, and report on campaign outcomes and insights.

About you:

You possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the capacity to build constructive relationships, as well as negotiate, influence and gain cooperation from a broad range of clients and stakeholders. You have a natural ability and enthusiasm for building community and belonging, creating a sense of identity and inclusivity for staff and students alike. You showcase your resourcefulness, initiative and problem-solving capabilities to deliver successful campaigns resulting in positive student outcomes. Your strengths lay in your ability to inspire, direct and motivate your team to achieve successful student outcomes.

To be successful you will possess:

  • Extensive experience in the successful development and implementation of outbound calling campaigns, or within a telephone contact centre, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to recognise and respond appropriately to students at risk of disengagement and with complex needs with high levels of empathy and effective conflict resolution skills.
  • Success in coordinating a large team within a flexible work environment, including roster management and work allocation in accordance with business needs.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to form strong working relationships with colleagues and build credibility and rapport with stakeholders.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to use initiative, develop effective solutions and attend to multiple priorities and conflicting deadlines, whilst maintaining a high level of attention to detail.
  • A high level of digital literacy including experience with Customer Relationship Management systems and Microsoft Office Suite, including advanced Excel skills.
