About the role

An opportunity has recently arisen for a Transport Driver to join Maitland Community Care Services Team on a part-time basis, responsible for providing various transport services to our clients. Some duties include but are not limited to:

  • Provide transport for clients
  • Shuttle services
  • Provide door-to-door transport using our fleet vehicles
  • Ensuring safety and maintenance checks are carried out as per schedule
  • Maintaining transport records and documentation

About You

To be successful in this role, you must possess a class C Driver’s License with previous experience providing transportation services to aged individuals or individuals who live with a disability.

As well as:

  • Satisfactory driving record / history
  • Current First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to liaise and build rapport with a range of clients
  • Exceptional patience, with the ability to remain claim under pressure
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with a solution-focused style and approach
  • Flexibility to occasionally modify working day/hours to meet business operational requirements

NOTE: The successful candidate will be required to obtain a Condition T on their drivers license, as part of our Transport NSW driver requirements

Please note that the successful candidate must provide a NDIS Worker Check and Working with Children Check. The criminal offences that preclude a person from working in aged care are a conviction for murder or sexual assault or a conviction of and sentenced to imprisonment for any other form of assault.
