Project Controls Lead

About the role:

Reporting to the Project Controls Manager, this is an excellent opportunity for a Project Controls Lead looking for a role where they can make an impact and directly contribute to the development and delivery of major projects. The successful applicant will oversee the accurate and timely delivery of the Project Controls for HanRoy's future projects.

Key duties:

  • Lead a team of cost controllers and planners and work with the PCM to build a cohesive and efficient team.
  • Foster a culture that embraces system-based Project Controls and automated/digitalised processes.
  • Monitor progress and identify potential problems in respect of budgets and schedule.
  • Contribute to building and maintaining key strategic partnerships by appearing as the spokesperson on Project Controls pertaining to the project.
  • Oversee the accurate and timely delivery of Project Controls for the allocated project/s.
  • Preparing all required project reports including forecast cost and schedule, progress and variance to plan.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • 10+ years' experience in a Project Controls role, including demonstrable experience leading a team.
  • A background in mining, ideally within an Owners or EPC/M environment.
  • Understanding of cost terminology, budget allocation, WBS, CBS, SOW and change management.
  • Exceptional communication skills and ability to manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • A strong understanding of effective project reporting, including pointed analytical support to Project Management.
  • Critical thinking and a solution-focused attitude.
  • System based cost/controls a strong advantage (CMS, PowerBi).
