Our Transition to Work (TtW) program delivers tailored employment and education support to young people aged 15-24, who are at risk of long-term unemployment in the North-Western Melbourne/Barwon Employment Regions. We work towards the same, purpose-led goal of improving lives through dignity and choice. 

This is an exciting opportunity to join us on permanent full-time basis, as we continue to build our growing team. The Administration Officer is responsible for efficient, compliant and high-quality administration services in line with the TtW program. There is opportunity to work from home and we are flexible for you to be based out of any one of our offices in the North-West (Broadmeadows, Craigieburn and Sunbury) or Barwon (Geelong and Corio) Employment Regions

Previous experience in employment services is not essential but will be highly regarded. Our priority is to find the right person to join our team.

The Role 

  • Work closely with the TtW team to ensure documentary evidence pertaining to various administration functions are obtained, which may include payslips, invoices and processing of wage subsidies
  • Participate in internal/external audits to ensure operations are compliant with contractual obligations and other relevant legislation and frameworks
  • Ensure relevant databases and registers are updated and maintained, including but not limited to data entry and collating of information
  • Update and maintain accurate participant records
  • Assist in the development, implementation and review of relevant documents, policies and procedures
  • Participate in qualitative and quantitative research and project work, as needed

 

About you:

  • Current driver’s licence and Working with Children’s Check card (or ability to obtain one prior to commencement) is essential
  • Previous experience in a similar role in employment services is an advantage but NOT essential – if you have the right attitude, we can teach everything else!
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are crucial 
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and take initiative in a fast-paced environment
  • Attention to detail and organisation is second to none, as you will need to meet strict deadlines
  • Understanding of working with people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds (CALD), people with disabilities and/or mental health concerns will be highly regarded
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and able to pick up new systems easily
