The result of this mindset speaks for itself: due to an internal promotion and ongoing program growth, we have a newly created opportunity for an experienced Customer Service Officer to join us on a permanent part-time basis, working 22.8 hours per week (0.6 FTE). Prior experience in a similar role will be highly regarded but is not essential.

There is flexibility for the site you are based out of, with the opportunity for you to work from one of our offices in either Footscray, Geelong, Melton, St Albans, Sunshine or Werribee.

The Role:

Reporting to the Site Manager, this position will be responsible for reception and administration duties whilst at the same time providing support to a number of programs on site to achieve successful outcomes as a team. The CSO is the first point of contact for visitors, clients and members of the community. This role is pivotal in supporting all staff at the site, as required.

 

Duties:

  • Provide receptionist duties to ensure smooth office operations
  • High level administrative assistance to the team, including but not limited to answering and directing phone calls and enquiries, data entry, filing, photocopying and scanning and other ad hoc duties as required
  • Record all transactions, including invoices checked and issued, purchase orders raised and payments arranged
  • Assist job seekers with job preparation activities, such as writing resumes and cover letters
  • Reverse marketing to employers as needed

 

About you:

  • Prior experience in a Customer Service Officer role or similar is NOT essential – if you have the right attitude, we can teach everything else!
  • A current Working with Children’s Check (or ability to obtain one prior to commencement) is essential
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport with people from a diverse range of backgrounds is essential
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in work
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and able to pick up new systems quickly
  • Initiative and a 'can do' attitude
  • Passionate about helping people and making a difference in the community
