Primary Sense Project Officer

Northern Queensland Primary Health Network
  • Can be located in Cairns, Townsville, or Mackay
  • 12-month full time role – contract ending 24 November 2024

This role will support the project manager supporting internal and external readiness, transition, implementation, and adoption of the Primary Sense™ population health management software for general practice within the Northern Queensland Primary Health Network (NQPHN) region.

This will be a rewarding role for someone who is passionate about supporting quality improvement in general practice to improve patient care.

The successful candidate will be able to:

  • Complete key activities to support general practice transition to Primary Sense™ as directed by the project manager.
  • Work with general practice IT providers to support virtual implementation of Primary Sense™.
  • Respond to Tier One support enquiries and monitor the implementation dashboard.
  • Establish strong linkages with key internal and external stakeholders to inform activities.
  • Work closely with the Primary Care Engagement Team to increase meaningful use and confidence supporting the use of the Primary Sense™ tool by general practices.
  • Actively identify emerging pressures, issues, and risks and escalate to the project manager. 
  • Support the ongoing promotion and meaningful use of Primary Sense™ through online webinars, newsletters, and social media.
  • Utilise Microsoft case management to manage support for Tier One customer enquiries.
  • Develop knowledge base articles and other resources as required to support the implementation.

Key selection criteria

  • Experience with software implementation and/or support, ideally in a community or not-for-profit setting (desirable).
  • Proven ability to influence, negotiate, and engage positively with internal and external stakeholders to achieve project delivery and outcomes.
  • Strong organisational skills including ability to effectively prioritise workload and competing priorities.
  • High level communication skills including written skills, consultation and negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to problem solve and use initiative and judgement.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience using MS Dynamics and MS PowerBI.
  • Intermediate to advanced skills in the MS Office suite – Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.
