About the Opportunity

An opportunity exists for a motivated, innovative, and energetic individual with extensive experience in a regulatory services position or similar to join the Regulatory Services Team as the Regulatory Services Operations Coordinator.

Working with the Regulatory Services Manager, the role will lead the Regulatory Services Rangers and Pound attendants in delivering a range of programs and services that contribute to the delivery of the City of Palmerston’s Community Plan including:

  • Animal Management by-law enforcement
  • Public Places by-law enforcement
  • Signs, Hoardings and Advertising by-law enforcement
  • Parking Regulation enforcement
  • Regulatory Services Education Program support
  • By-law Investigation, Legal Brief and Prosecution
  • Liquor Application review and response
  • Education and Policy initiatives

About You

We are looking for a person with relevant tertiary qualification in law, public policy, education, conservation including other related fields and disciplines or minimum 5 years equivalent experience in a similar role, proven experience in managing a team and providing effective leadership to create a positive working culture, ability to interpret, adhere to, follow, and regulate relevant Northern Territory Government and Council legislation and policies, ability to lead investigations and prepare reports and make recommendations to management, demonstrated experience in negotiation, assessment and problem solving to efficiently and appropriately resolve complex and sensitive issues

If you have extensive relevant experience underpinned by appropriate qualifications, with a concise understanding of animal welfare and community education approaches plus proven experience in leading a team, this may be the next opportunity for you.
