About you:

As a Front-End Software Engineer, you are expected to have around 3 to 5 years of experience in the Software Development across UI based technology, Angular – Type Script, HMTL5, CSS and Web API. You'll be someone who enjoys all aspects of development and is happy for this to remain an important part of your role. 

About the role: 

In this key role, you will be a member of the Product Team, where you will be involved in the development of new functionality of the FT360 platform, support user experience improvements for pre-existing functionality, maintaining technical support for used controls/frameworks and shaping the improvement of the user experience to unlock the platforms full potential. 

Day to day you will: 

• Design and build product deliverables according to requirements, escalates technical design or requirement issues to Principal Software Engineers, Product Managers and Business Analysts and works within a given time frame to complete coding.
• Write well designed, testable, efficient code by using best software development practices. 
• Follow FastTrack’s development practices and software development life cycle methodologies. 
• Investigation and suggestion of solutions to defects and problems that may have been detected during testing including troubleshoot, debug and upgrade to existing systems. 
• Assist in the research, implementation, and promotion of appropriate leading-edge technology for FastTrack360. 
• Management of Angular Framework upgrades and control updates.
• Management of/contribution towards effective source control, ensuring isolation and ability to manage multiple branches.
• Actively promote quality focused approach within the team showing ownership for QA activities and collaboration with the QA team. 
• Support the teams sprint deliverables, through proactive contribution to planning, ownership of tasks, identification of dependencies and basic risk management.
• Assist in improving training and development of the technical team.

Your skills and experience may include: 

• Completion of a combination of a Business, IT or Computer Science degree
• 5+ years of hands-on software development experience as a Front-End Developer involving HTML-5, CSS, Angular, AngularJS and Web API. 
• Previous experience in managing Angular Framework upgrades and control updates.
• Experience working within an Agile and/or Lean team delivery environment.
• Experience working within the Atlassian suite of technology tools. 
• Core technical competency in:
  • HTML-5
  • CSS
  • Angular - TypeScript, JavaScript
  • Web API 
  • Git (Bitbucket / GitHub)
  • JIRA (Project / Confluence)
• Ideally experience in:
  • AngularJS, C#.NET development, ASP.NET Webb API/WCF
