About the role
In this customer facing role the Cloud Engineer will design, implement, and manage cloud platforms and environments including security capabilities. You will build and manage cloud technologies including IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS. Your experience will allow you to provide cloud engineering capabilities resulting in fast and effective cloud services delivery.
  
Day-to-day you will:

• Design, develop and manage client and internal Cloud platforms.
• Review and implement Cloud architectures and be a Cloud Engineering SME.
• Automate, integrate, and migrate Cloud infrastructure.
• Ensure security capabilities are designed and implemented appropriately.
• Develop and maintain documentation of cloud environments, integration platforms, data flow map, server inventories, network design diagram, entity-relationship diagram, process workflows.
• Defines/develops roadmaps and plans to migrate current application infrastructure to AWS Cloud and reduce hardware footprints and devises cost-effective ways to support cloud-computing environments.
• Implement, test and document infrastructure technologies.
• Implement system performance benchmarking and establish standards and best practices to support high-performing computing environments.

About You

• Minimum 2 years of experience in Information Technology, specifically in a role of technical implementation with a focus on DevOps and IAC.
• Tertiary qualification in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field and/or equivalent experience.
• Relevant Microsoft certifications
• Sound understanding of cloud architecture and landing zone patterns.
• Experience with the follow technologies:
  • Azure DevOps and code pipelines
  • IaC: Azure- BICEP, ARM, Terraform
  • IDAM: Endra ID
  • Linux OS- RPM/DEB based
  • Cloud Networking- architecture, routing, ACLs, load balancing
  • Containers and Kubernetes
  • Cloud storage, encryption, and access management
  • Cloud security- visibility, firewalling, WAF, certificates, key management
  • Cloud logging and monitoring- cloud native and third party
