About the role

The Director – Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC) will lead the growth, development, innovation, and performance of the Queensland GRC Practice, positioning CyberCX as Australia’s leading independent cyber security company.
You will be responsible for developing the practice to advise customers on governance, risk and compliance matters to better plan and manage their cyber security risk posture. They are responsible for building the service offering and capability of the practice, as well as managing, mentoring, and developing practitioners in the practice.

You will be accountable for delivering revenue, margin and growth in the GRC Practice in QLD and building innovative offerings in the revenue mix.
You will be responsible for achieving client outcomes by providing a holistic cyber security solution, through CyberCX’s unique value proposition of multi-disciplinary teams across our service offerings.

Duties

  • Build relationships with a range of internal and external customers to support business development activities, including support of sales and Go-to-Market (GTM) efforts.
  • Lead the growth, development, innovation, and performance of the Queensland GRC Practice.
  • Enhance the team’s effectiveness by taking ownership of team issues and goals. Create a culture of empowerment, collaboration and accountability through consistent employee engagement.
  • Guide, direct and lead high impact initiatives set out by the GRC Executive Directors.
  • Guide and direct proposal reviews and sign-off for approach, methodology, and pricing.
  • Deliver high-value consulting services in the Governance, Risk and Compliance domain to deliver an exceptional customer experience.
  • Act as a senior advisor for project management and general point of escalation.
  • Understand GRC consulting capabilities and skillsets to forward plan and assign team members to projects.
Skills & experience
  • At least 10 years’ experience in dealing with a diverse range of information, Cyber security projects and challenges, preferably over a number of industries domains.
  • At least 5 years of management/leadership experience.
  • Proven track record of risk management and the implementation of standards and frameworks.
  • Significant experience building effective teams, managing conflict, celebrating differences, and developing talent to engage and inspire staff.
  • Significant experience driving strategy, vision and purpose, and creating plans to align the team to goals and objectives.
  • Exceptional track record of effective decision-making, delivering results and ensuring accountability of outcomes across the team.
  • Strong business and financial acumen to ensure revenue growth and financial performance.
  • Ability to understand and adapt to the situation to solve problems in a creative and agile way.
  • Exceptional stakeholder engagement and communication skills with an ability to build credibility with senior management and internal working teams across CyberCX.
Desirable
  • Experience in Cyber Security/ information security domains - ideally one or more of the following: Governance, Risk & Compliance, Cyber Strategy & Architecture, Cyber Risk Management, Cyber Detection & Response, Cyber Threat Exposure Management, Identity & Access Management, Data Protection, Infrastructure Security, Privacy, Cyber Resilience and Breach Support. This experience should include both advisory and implementation experience.
