Junior School Classroom Teachers - 12 month maternity leave contract and 6 month maternity leave contract

Lakes Grammar – An Anglican School is seeking to appoint two full time contract junior school teacher commencing Term 1, 2024. One role is for 6 months and the other for 12 months. Lakes Grammar is a K-12 coeducational school located at Warnervale on the Central Coast NSW.

Key requirements of this role include, but are not limited to:

• Outstanding teaching practice in the classroom, including programming, student reports, use of technology, academic reports and classroom management.
• Ability to design and implement of high quality, coherent and well-sequenced teaching programs drawing upon deep understanding of curriculum, assessment and reporting in-line with NESA outcomes and the school's learning philosophies and practices.
• Contribution to a culture of high expectations for all students by modelling and assisting them to set explicit, challenging and achievable learning goals.
• Ability to maintain detailed and accurate records of student progress and achievement and provide regular, timely, effective and appropriate feedback to students, parents and colleagues (including the marking of student work).
• Be actively involved in the academic care of all students.
• Appropriate teaching qualifications and current NESA registration.
• Demonstrated ability of professional personal conduct consistent with the values of Lakes Grammar - An Anglican School and Newcastle Anglican.
• You must have the right to live and work in Australia.
