Scone Grammar School is seeking a Full-Time Teacher Aide for our school commencing 24 January 2024.

Role Description:

The Teacher's Aide is to support student learning by working collaboratively with Teachers to develop and implement strategies to allow students to access the curriculum across Key Learning Areas.

Skills and Abilities:
•  Ability to work collaboratively and participate in faculty, whole school and community initiatives.
•  Commitment to pastoral care and extra-curricular activities.
•  Well-developed organisational skills; excellent written and verbal communication skills; the ability to work well in a team, as well as the ability to work independently.

Essential Criteria

  • Specific tertiary qualification/s in Learning Support and/or Education 
  • Effective communicator with strong literacy and numeracy skills that enable them to support students in a range of subject
  • Commitment and passion for excellence in Christian education
  • Strong information and communication technology skills. 
  • Practices confidentiality regarding student information at all times
  • Communicate with and establish effective and co-operative working relationships with teaching and non-teaching colleagues
  • Participate in the extra-curricular and co-curricular life of the School
  • Undertake such other duties as may be required by the Principal


The successful applicant will possess or willingness to obtain the following: NSW Working with Children Check, Drivers Licence and undertake a pre-employment National Police Check (Newcastle Anglican will consider the relevance of any reported outcomes) and will be committed to our school values and proactively contribute to our SGS team.
