Overall Role Purpose
Senior Manager, IWS Solutions & Design is responsible for:

For all IWS-related customers throughout DGF business nationally:

• Identifies and collaborates to secure new business with appropriate commercial owners nationally.
• Manages special projects and identifies new solutions design.
• Understanding the customer requirements & developing customised DGF Warehousing and transport solutions for each customer.
• Manages customer relationships nationally.
• Identifies and collaborates with suppliers and facility general management to implement new business.
• Drives internal national pipeline of existing customer base - identifies and highlights market and internal opportunities to create competitive advantage.
• Sources new external IWS opportunities
• Depth farms existing customer base to build new product solutions which extend IWS portfolios i.e., Gathers customer and market information to update portfolio with current conditions.
• Interacts with customers in alignment with Sales support negotiations and presentations.
• Supports solution design for customer requests together with Sales in more complex high-priority cases.
• Drive Industry best-in-class contract management, with a focus on strategic contracts enabling long-term sustainability to the business.
• Developing cost-effective solutions and interventions to optimize logistical efficiency.
• Evaluating the impact of improvement strategies as required.
• Documenting improvement plans, setting deadlines, and monitoring progress.
• Provides rationalised insight for facility expansion in conjunction with the new and existing customer base.

Skills / Qualifications

• Related tertiary qualification i.e., Bachelor’s degree.
• Minimum ten (10) years of working experience in 3PL Operations and/or 3PL Solutions Design role, Freight forwarding Operations, and Warehousing Capabilities
• Minimum ten (10) years of working experience in International/Domestic Logistics, Logistics Systems, or industry-related fields.
• Proven track record in a customer-facing role, with specific experience in Operations i.e., Warehousing and transport solutions (Domestic and Road Transport) and business systems.
• Proven track record in understanding IWS systems
• Proven track record in people management i.e., management of contractors and other external stakeholders
• Demonstrated Leadership through effective communication and ability to influence outcomes across multiple regional locations.
• Organisational skills with the ability to prioritize and deliver time pressure and limited information/resources.
• Strong relationship-building skills – Building and maintaining keyholder relationships for continued opportunities.
• Excellent knowledge of freight forwarding business, DGF products (AFR/OFR/TPT) and business systems
• Excellent knowledge of IWS Solutions
