Binyan Studios is seeking a talented Systems Administrator.

The Senior Systems Administrator is responsible for the provisioning and maintenance of IT infrastructure and providing high level technical support and communication for all studios.  This role works closely with the IT Manager to achieve company technology objectives.

The role requires excellent communication skills, problem solving ability and a proactive nature.

Skills Required:

  • Proven experience as a System Administrator, Network Administrator or similar role.
  • Experience with storage systems, databases, networks (LAN, WAN) and server management.
  • Skills in managing and provisioning full suite of Windows Administration tools
  • Knowledge of system security (e.g. intrusion detection systems) and data backup/recovery.
  • Basic ability to create OS automation scripts (Such in Powershell, Bash, Python, Perl or other languages).
  • Familiarity with various operating systems and platforms.
  • Resourcefulness and problem-solving aptitude.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • BSc/Ba in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related discipline; professional certification (e.g. Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA)) is a plus.
  • Linux Network Storage Management Experience a plus
  • GSuite Management experience a plus

Main Duties:

  • Provide a high level of technical support and communication for all offices.
  • Administer IT Infrastructure Environment (eg: Servers, Active Directory, Clients)
  • Installation, setup, configuration and maintenance of company general software and hardware assets.
  • Actively monitor performance and maintain IT systems according to requirements and log, report on discoveries with a preventative view.
  • Develop, deploy and maintain Disaster Recovery plans/system/equipment.
  • Ensure data integrity of storage systems and perform data recovery when necessary.
  • User Administration: Manage user accounts, servers and workstations.
  • Work with staff, vendors and suppliers to log, report, troubleshoot, escalate and resolve general IT issues and outages.
  • Ensure security and efficiency of general IT infrastructure.
  • Develop, update and maintain internal IT documentation (eg wiki/knowledge base, records, manuals)
  • Assist with production pipeline asset deployment and maintenance as specified and required by the CTO.
  • Strictly follow guidance and technology implementation/direction from the CTO where it pertains to and/or impacts the creative pipeline.
