About the role / What I will be doing?

As the Account Director, Hilton Worldwide Sales you will grow the highest value and largest potential share of wallet accounts based in Australasia for Hilton Worldwide, across a country, region, or vertical market.  The role will look ensure accounts are appropriately managed on a local, national, International & global basis.

 

You will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

  • Develop key account management which increases Hilton’s market power and closer matches the way customers choose to buy.
  • Develop the right Account plans & strategies, focusing on shifting unfair share.
  • Develop powerful personal relationships with decision makers and influencers within the top producing accounts as well as internal stakeholders such as VP’s, GM’s, Commercial Directors and Hotel Managers.
  • Ensure that measurement systems are in place & and robust to track accurately the production of all targeted accounts.
  • Actively seek out new sources of business from existing accounts / new accounts.
  • Support new openings within Hilton Worldwide.
  • Attending relevant tradeshows representing Hilton
  • Coordinate an attend / organise trade shows, road shows, sales
  • Attend sales review and communication meeting as and when required.

 

Skills and Qualifications / What are we looking for?

Account Director, Hilton Worldwide Sales is always working on behalf of our Guests and working with other Team Members. To successfully fill this role, you should maintain the attitude, behaviours, skills, and values that follow:

  • Excellent communication skills:  presentations, written and public speaking
  • Significant work experience in customer facing, revenue generating roles including management experience
  • Ability to direct collaboration among cross-functional teams including external resources
  • Ability to analyse departmental financial data in order to make strategic and tactical decisions
  • Strong problem solving skills including ability to address any issue in collaboration with others, identify and prevent potential problems and develop problem solving skills in others
  • Ability to think and articulate a vision for business sales and capable of translating this into practical and tangible actions.
  • Proven understanding of client’s business and category, including business plans, competitive environment and distribution channels and product financials.
  • Extensive understanding of local market and industry to make recommendations on how to achieve the targets
  • Takes calculated risks to achieve results in consultation with immediate supervisor and other relevant team members.
  • Has good relationship management skills and presents the appropriate professional image to customers and external contacts.

 

Required

  • BA/BS Bachelors degree
  • Experience working in multi-cultural or international settings
  • 3+ years experience in customer facing, revenue generating roles within a sales environment

 

 

Preferred

  • Advanced degree preferred
  • Advanced degree / MS / MA / Master's Degree
  • Significant hospitality industry experience preferred in a sales role
  • In-depth knowledge of business sector
  • International experience advantageous
