Due to sustained growth ProBuild Australia are seeking experienced Insurance Building Estimators to join our customer-focused, enthusiastic, self-motivated and dedicated team in the Melbourne area and surrounds.

About the role

Reporting to the Construction Manager, you will be responsible for assessing property damage, preparing repair quotations, In doing so, you will work closely with our administration team, together with industry professionals and a variety of trades. Successful candidates will ideally work 38 hours per week and gain permanent employment on completion of a 6 month probation period.

Responsibilities

·        Assessment of property damage and liaison with the customer through the life of the project

·        Produce damage assessment reports, scope of works and develop repair quotations within our system

     ·        Co-ordinate trade employees, sub-contractors and suppliers in the timely completion reports.

·        Maintain good communication and build rapport with the customer, colleagues, administration support team, trades and suppliers via phone, email and online portals

·        Be a point of contact for technical queries and progress updates.

Skills and Experience

·        Minimum 3 years  Estimating experience (preferred)

·        Excellent communications skills, both verbal and written including the ability to write reports

·        Sound knowledge of the insurance claim process and stakeholders (preferred)

·        Competent with a laptop, iPad, MS Word and Excel and the ability to learn internal computer based systems

·        Financial management skills and experience in meeting and exceeding KPI targets

·        Ability to maintain standards to meet Work Health Safety Act (2012) requirements
