Design and Analysis (D&A) is a proudly independent Perth based engineering practice servicing Australian and international infrastructure, resources, rail, marine and manufacturing sectors. Sought out for our in-depth analysis capability and innovative value-adding design and optioneering solutions, D&A’s services extend from detailed bridge design and verification – through to complex investigations, feasibility and load capacity studies for the most technically complex projects.

We are experiencing significant growth and looking to expand our high performing team with a newly created draftsperson/technician role. This position will require a blend of office and site-based work, suiting a passionate draftsperson person willing to learn, produce, and take pride in their creations. 

The Position:

• Work as part of multi-disciplinary team to deliver innovative greenfield and brownfield projects for our clients
• Conceptualize and produce detailed design drawings, including 3D view and additional information that communicates to range of stakeholders and makes our drawings to stand out 
• Review and check designs, models and drawings to ensure compliance with client specifications and applicable standards
• Interpret drawings and technical reports to extract relevant information for engineering and design considerations
• Site inspections, sampling, measurements and 3D scanning

Requirements:

• Relevant certificate in Engineering or Drafting
• Autocad 2D and 3D Experience
• Experience in detailing reinforced concrete, prestressed concrete and post tensioned concrete
• Familiar with the term BIM and understanding of Metadata in the industry 
• Knowledge of cloud based files
• Revit experience preferable – If not, drive and willingness to learn
• MRWA and PTA experience preferred
• Not afraid to ask questions when in doubt
