The Opportunity

We have an exciting opportunity for a Graduate Mining Engineer to join our friendly and supportive Mount Cattlin based Technical Support team. 

Reporting to the Mining Manager, working a 15:13 roster this role will performs entry level engineering duties of drill and blast / production planning to assist in the functioning of the mine.

About the Role

• Design drill patterns, charge sheets and Tie-ins
• Design & manage planning polygons
• Capture drill & blast data and manage database
• D&B QAQC reviews and reporting
• Maintain D&B Parameters document
• Design/amend infrastructure e.g. Pits, Dumps & Haul roads
• Maintain Design register
• 2 weekly planning
• Contribute towards monthly mine planning
• Surface Disturbance Permits

Our Ideal Candidate

• Tertiary Qualification in Engineer or related field
• WA drivers license
• Experience designing D&B patterns
• Experience using mine planning software e.g Surpac, Shotplus.
• General experience in a mining environment
• Experience using Microsoft suite of applications e.g. Excel
• Interest in working towards obtaining WA Quarry Managers Certificate 

The preferred candidate will be required to participate in a verification process which will include: 

• Provision of a recent National Police Clearance;
• Pre-employment medical (including drug and alcohol testing);
• Proof of the right to work in Australia; and
• Reference checks.
