The Opportunity

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Reliability Engineer to join our Mount Cattlin Team. 

Reporting to the Maintenance Superintendent, this role oversees all aspects of Asset Management in the Fixed Plant Dense Media Separation plant (incl utilities) to enhance the plant availability, utilisation and rate to maximise the production of Lithium spodumene.

About the Role

  • Responsible for ownership of all equipment maintenance strategies 
  • Responsible for the enhancement of maintenance strategies to enable greater equipment life to enable greater throughput and recovery of product.
  • Provide technical expertise to mechanical or electrical issues to the respective team members
  • Assist in the long term strategic plan based on major maintenance requirements
  • Provide input into the planning and execution of fixed plant shutdowns
  • Establish and enhance the site work management process to ensure maintenance planning and execution are being completed to an acceptable level of quality.
  • Rationalise inventory and ensure critical spares strategy is fit for purpose.
  • Maintain a preservation maintenance program to ensure equipment lifecycle is maximised.

Our Ideal Candidate

Essential

  • Tertiary Qualifications in mechanical, electrical engineering or similar.
  • Ability to work effectively and safely with well-developed interpersonal qualities – to work effectively as part of a team & communicate ideas and information
  • Strong attention to detail, able to engage in constructive problem solving.
  • Flexible and challenges oneself and uses initiative
  • Self-managed, results oriented.
  • Able to leverage technology to apply to new projects and initiatives

Desirable

  • Experience with best practice reliability programs
  • Understanding of Asset Management principals.

As our preferred candidate you will be required to participate in a verification process which will include:

  • provision of a recent National Police Clearance
  • pre-employment medical (including drug and alcohol testing);
  • proof of the right to work in Australia;
  • probation period of 6 months
  • minimum of 2 reference checks from recent employers
