Sydney Grammar is an independent and socially comprehensive secular day school for boys. The secondary school (7-12) is located on College Street in the city of Sydney and the two preparatory schools are located at Edgecliff (K-Year 6) and St Ives (Preparatory -Year 6). 

We are currently seeking to employ a suitably experienced and motivated Tuckshop Assistant at our St Ives campus. 

About the Role 

During term time only 

Part-Time/Temporary Position 

Monday to Friday 20hrs per week 

Commencement date: Term 1 2024

About You 

• Experience working in a Tuckshop or small commercial kitchen an advantage. 
• Qualifications in hospitality-related courses 
• Working with children experience desirable (WWCC will be required) 
• Working with a volunteer workforce desirable 
• Demonstrates initiative. 
• Ability to think clearly under pressure. 
• Professional yet approachable in demeanour 

Key Accountabilities 

• Printing and labelling of orders 
• Stock replenishment and rotation 
• Preparation of ingredients 
• Cooking freshly prepared meals 
• Cleaning 
• Sales & service 
• Assisting the Tuckshop Manager in monitoring compliance with WHS, Food safety and Hygiene policies, practices and principles
• Assuming temporary Tuckshop Manager responsibilities in the absence of the Tuckshop Manager
• Other duties as required by the Headmaster or the Tuckshop Manager
