The opportunity:

We have a fantastic opportunity for a talented People & Culture Business Partner to join our People & Culture team in a 12-month parental leave cover capacity, looking after team members across multiple fitness businesses.

 

In your role as a P&C Business Partner, you will be instrumental in embedding our people strategy and providing high quality and timely advice to ensure best practice people management is maintained throughout the employee life cycle.

 

You will work with our national and state leadership teams (with the support of the team's two P&C Advisors) to provide employment law and people policy advice. You will also work closely with our P&C team to develop people-related initiatives and improve our people strategy and processes. This role calls for a team player, someone who takes initiative, and proactively seeks out opportunities to deliver exceptional service and successful outcomes.

 

 

Key duties and responsibilities include:

  • Take ownership and provide end-to-end support to leaders on a range of people related issues and HR policies
  • Evaluate and handle escalated and/or complex ER issues as they arise
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and mentoring to line managers and team members
  • Coach, support, and develop leaders to effectively manage employee performance and organisational change
  • Provide leaders advice on effective rostering practices and wage management
  • Contribute to the business strategy by helping identify, prioritise, and build organisational capabilities, behaviours, structures, and processes
  • Drive and deliver a range of HR initiatives/projects

 

 

To be successful in this role you will need:

  • Minimum 5 years experience in a similar HR generalist role
  • Strong understanding of Employment Relations processes and practices
  • A natural leader with the desire to coach, mentor and upskill others
  • An ability to manage competing priorities
  • Strong oral and written communication skills with exceptional stakeholder management
  • Strong understanding of HR reporting and administration processes
  • Flexible, with the ability to resolve complex problems and comfortable working in the grey
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications
