About the role
To deliver the highest level of professional response to which you are trained and authorised to perform, to any medical emergency situation as well as delivering ongoing clinical management and staff health. To provide medical emergency treatment to personnel on site. PWR medical personnel operate under the policies and procedures that are regulated by our clinical practice guidelines and protocols to ensure compliance with the best industry standards. Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities.
Responsibilities, but not limited.
- Respond to medical emergencies treating in an appropriate manner, injuries, sudden illness and casualties arising from a broad range of incidents.
- Drug & Alcohol screening to required quantities
- Operate ambulance medical equipment and implement medical procedures to provide patient care and treatment in an out of hospital environment
- Maintain and manage stock levels for Medical Centre and Ambulance. Including all scheduled drugs.
- Record and store Patient Care Records for all patients.
- Liaise with RFDS for medevac when required
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Health Science – Paramedics
- Advanced Diploma of Health Science
- Diploma of Health Care – Paramedics
- Advance Life Support
- Drug and Alcohol Specimen Collection
Preferred Experience
- Exploration/Remote Medic Experience
- On Road Ambulance Experience
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a medic
