Infrastructure Delivery – Infrastructure, Investment and Contracts

The Infrastructure Delivery branch is responsible for:

• designing and delivering infrastructure projects for Northern Territory Government (NTG) agencies and other partners across the Territory; and
• managing a range of infrastructure and infrastructure-related contracts.

The branch provides a suite of services through its various regional offices including:

• concept and detailed design;
• project delivery; and
• project and contract management and administration.

This position is part of the project delivery team with Infrastructure Delivery, who provide project management and contract management services and expertise to plan and deliver the Capital Works, Minor Works and Specific Maintenance programs. A diverse range of projects are delivered for NTG agencies and other partners including new police stations, sporting facilities, schools, remote health clinics as well as additions and alterations to existing facilities.

The Senior Project Manager is responsible for management of all phases of delivery of assigned Capital, Works Minor and Specific Maintenance projects, while providing leadership to project teams to deliver assigned projects on time and on budget.  Assigned projects may vary significantly in their scope, size and complexity, and are managed concurrently.

The successful applicant will have a tertiary or trade qualification or equivalent experience related to the role, high level current technical knowledge generally in one or more areas of specialisation (building, electrical, hydraulics and mechanical) in management and delivery of multidiscipline major works projects, relating to building assets, in a client focussed and cross-cultural environment, as well as extensive knowledge and experience in the Construction Code and the planning and management of projects in the construction industry, including management of human and financial resources.
