The Opportunity
We have an opportunity for an Agricultural Officer to be part of our Research Support Division within the Department of Primary Industries and Regions.

The role of Agricultural Officer is one that supports the Senior Agricultural Officer and Farm Manager in providing an environment where research activities can be conducted on site, assisting with the day-to-day operations required to maintain a seasonal cropping rotation and self-replacing merino flock. The role reports to the Farm Manager, Minnipa Agricultural Centre and works alongside SARDI Minnipa Agricultural Centre staff, researchers, and stakeholders.

Special Conditions

  • Successful applicant will be required to satisfactorily complete a National
    Police Check (NPC) prior to being made an offer of employment.
  • Australian residency or current works permit is required (responsibility of
    applicant to provide evidence of a current work permit).

Requirements

  • Possession of a current driver's license and willingness to drive.
  • Possession of a heavy vehicle endorsement or willingness to obtain.
  • Out of hours work during peak seasons (harvest & seeding) is expected.
  • Inter / intrastate travel may be required occasionally.
  • Any previous experience in Agriculture highly valued
  • You acknowledge your work, health and safety obligations and our expectations.

Remuneration
OPS2 $57,842 - $62,221 per annum, plus superannuation
Role will be offer on a full-time basis up to 24 months.
