The Opportunity

To support our ongoing growth, BGER is seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our Newcastle Team. We have an extensive and continually growing client base and a number of exciting upcoming projects.

The Role

Role responsibilities will include:

• Undertaking Mechanical and Piping design tasks from concept through to commissioning
• Checking designs completed by others
• Developing and improving Mechanical and Piping design tools for use across the team
• Assisting with construction and commissioning including occasional site-based work as required
• Managing projects including drafters and engineers of other disciplines
• Identifying new work opportunities and prepare proposals.

The Ideal Candidate

Our Ideal candidate is an ambitious and technically minded degree qualified Mechanical Design Engineer with 7+ years’ experience. Design experience in the Mining infrastructure and Industrial sectors, specifically materials handling design and wet process plant design. Other experience in construction and commissioning support would be considered advantageous.
