The Opportunity

To support our ongoing growth, we are looking for a Mechanical Designer/Senior Mechanical Designer to join a successful team in our Perth or Mandurah office.

Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

• Undertaking Mechanical design tasks from concept through to commissioning
• Preparation of visualisations and animations including the completion of 2D/3D design deliverables
• Assisting design manager with developing and improving Mechanical design drafting tools
• Complete 2D/3D design deliverables
• Complete all workflow processes as per BGER design and drafting procedures
• Work in conjunction with a range of stakeholders (Leads, senior designers, engineers from a range of disciplines)
• Time management against project objectives and budgets
• Provide regular project updates, raise issues/concerns and attend team and project meetings as required by the Design Manager
• Ensure compliance with safety policies and procedures
• Other duties as required to enable the team to deliver projects to exceptional quality

About You

The ideal candidate for this positions will have the following:

• Advanced Diploma of Engineering (Mechanical), applicable drafting traineeship or similar with industry experience
• Be able to demonstrate 3+ years’ experience in Mining and Industrial industries
• Competent in one or more recognised CAD systems
• Experience and ability to use Microstation and/or Openplant systems would be highly advantageous
• Knowledge of OH&S responsibilities
• Materials handling design and wet processing design including piping would be beneficial
