Ameropa is a privately held, Swiss family-owned international agribusiness. We produce, originate and market fertilisers and grains, as part of the supply chain tasked with feeding the world. We have regional offices on all five continents and invest globally in assets supporting their business activities. 

Ameropa Australia’s wholesale side of the business (Impact Fertilisers) sells its products and services through an extensive dealer network in Eastern Australia (nine mainland and seven Tasmanian Impact Fertilisers distribution plants and a fertiliser manufacturing facility in Hobart).

Ameropa Australia’s retail side of the business (Browns’ Fertilisers) provides agronomy services, products and other services including on-farm fertiliser spreading through four distribution plants located in the Gippsland area and North-East Victoria.

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Area Sales Manager Tasmania North West will be responsible for the commercial duties within this Area.   Externally this role focuses on key account management and business development with key distributors, to ensure that business is aligned and exceeding KPIs annually. Internally the role will focus on developing and maintaining key cross functional relationships; forecasting to ensure annual KPIs are exceeded effective communication; and sales accountability closely working with the customer service team is key to this role.

Reporting to the State Manager Tasmania, you will be accountable for management of all dealers within this area along with associated internal responsibilities ensuring Impact’s customer value proposition is well represented in the Tasmanian Fertiliser Market.

THE CANDIDATE

The ideal candidate will have a hands-on approach, demonstrating natural and authentic people skills.You will also fit the quality of a natural cultural fit within the business, and demonstration of the Company’s values of Connectedness, Agility, Reliability and Expertise (CARE) are of the highest importance.  You will be a results-oriented self-starter with personal drive to make things happen. Additionally, you will have good commercial negotiation, demonstrated sales experience and time management skills. You will be a team player that demonstrates ability to lead by example, and most importantly know how to have fun on the job. 

The successful candidate will have a strong agribusiness background (ideally retail distribution, grain accumulation, fertilisers, ag chem or seed), and will have experience as a key account manager.  You will also have a total commitment to safe working behaviours, customer service and innovation, and approaching your work with passion and integrity always. 

A minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in a commercial sales environment or a related discipline with exposure to the fertiliser market is a distinct advantage.  Ameropa Australia is an achievement-based culture that supports people who are focused on learning and development, continuous improvement and delivering the best customer outcomes.
