About the opportunity

The opportunity is within the Banking and Finance team.

We are looking for a applicants who can provide strong people leadership, to guide, mentor and support team members.

Typically, in this role you will:

  • Lead your team with empathy and kindness
  • Review the progress of complaints in your team, including monitoring individual agreed targets for resolution of complaints
  • Conduct regular team meetings to debrief and discuss complex or unusual cases and provide opportunities for ongoing learning
  • Provide guidance, coaching and quality assurance support to the team
  • Apply a sound understanding of the AFCA complaint resolution criteria including relevant legal principles, applicable industry codes or guidance, and good industry practice
  • Work with the Senior Manager and peers to implement opportunities for improvement.

  • Willingness to continue to learn alongside your team as you grow into your role.
  • Demonstrated passion and positivity for your work as well as embodying the AFCA culture.
  • Ability to effectively manage workloads, meet business goals and budget and lead a team of case workers
  • High degree of personal organisation and efficiency, ability to prioritise work and meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrated understanding of external dispute resolution, complaint resolution processes, and policies
  • Demonstrated competency in analysing and investigating issues and developing and negotiating solutions
