This position will have responsibility for the following: 

+ Directs the workflow of the team whilst also providing guidance, mentoring and training

+ Manages delays, issues and advises the Partner where appropriate.

+  Works with the Partner to monitor write off level for the team to ensure it is within target.

+  Able to effectively express opinions and ideas in writing and verbally to all team members.

Ensure that clients are kept informed throughout the engagement process.

+ Understands the needs and business objectives of the client.

+ Proactive in contacting the client throughout the year to discuss their progress and agree on timeframes for the completion of projects.

+ Responds to general queries from clients within 24 hours.

+ Data entry and preparing data to import into HR systems and other software including Employment Hero, Deputy, Xero Payroll, Workflow Max

+ Support the payroll process for clients using Xero

+ Support preparation of various salary calculations and better off overall calculations

+ Ability to access and research information, including the use of electronic sources (Fair Work, icare and ATO websites).


+ Able to prepare written responses for clients around compliance issues including the approach to resolving them.

+ Able to identify potential risks and opportunities and raises them with their Client Director before discussing them with the client.

+  Has a high level of HR knowledge and is able to translate this knowledge and apply it to client issues across various entities


To be successful in this role you will have the following skills and attributes:

  • Minimum 4+ years experience in payroll or HR consulting
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills a
  • A determination that achieves set outcomes and a focus on delivering results.
  • A bias for action and execution
  • Creative thinker who brings a continuous improvement approach to recruitment.
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills
  • High level attention to detail
  • Proactive attitude, self-motivated and enthusiastic.
  • Flexible and willingness to undertake a wide variety of tasks in a fast paced environment.
  • Qualifications in Business or Human Resources preferred
