About the role

Multiple contract and permanent full-time positions with hybrid work environment based in Melbourne, Brisbane, or Sydney. Reporting directly to the Lead Learning Designer, you will be responsible for: 

  1. Designing contemporary, evidence based accredited training programs, including assessment materials and all supporting documentation consistent with the learning outcomes and objectives (including VET Quality Framework requirements for accredited courses) and other requirements of the education program.
  2. Consulting with relevant staff to validate work and external subject matter experts to inform the revision of existing, and development of new, education programs, tech solutions and innovative ideas.
  3. Revising and updating existing courses in line with protocol and procedure
  4. Producing high quality, innovative solutions to problems identified by staff at Dementia Australia as well as people living with dementia, their carers, communities, health professionals and families.
  5. Writing and developing online learning, with ability to use Articulate Storyline (desirable).
  6. Identification of opportunities for developing new learning materials, assistive technologies, or applications to support people living with dementia, their carers, communities, health professionals, and families.
  7. Maintenance of an appropriate system of document, data, and version control to ensure the timely revision of education programs according to policies and procedures.

About you

To be successful in this role, we are looking for someone with the following :

  1. Tertiary qualifications in relevant discipline.
  2. Certificate IV in training and Assessment (Preferred).
  3. 1-2 years of relevant experience working in an RTO/TAFE.  
  4. Sound understanding of Vocational Education and Training (VET) and experience writing Vocational Educational and Training Requirements.
  5. Experience in aged care or nursing would be desirable. 
  6. Demonstrates drive and motivation, self-reflects, and commits to learning and personal growth.
  7. Collaborates with others to remove barriers and break down silos and enable the collaborative delivery of client/customer focused outcomes.
  8. Builds, fosters, and sustains relationships (internally and externally) based on mutual trust, respect and understanding, to help pursue Dementia Australia's vision and mission.
  9. Understands and uses available technologies and information to maximise efficiencies and deliver effective services.
  10. Achieves results through a commitment to quality, planning and efficient resourcing.
  11. Encourages and suggests new ideas to deliver goals more effectively.
  12. Continually develops and applies specialist and technical skills and expertise to achieve work outcomes, sharing with others.
