Indigo Shire Council is on the lookout for our next Climate Change & Environmental Officer! Working from the Beechworth office on a part time basis, you will bring your passion and expertise in the Environmental Sustainability industry into a team that values your knowledge and experience. 

As our next Climate Change & Environmental Officer, you will be able to: 

• Assist the Council the achieve its climate change related strategies and goals, including tracking Council's greenhouse gas emissions and helping to identify and deliver priority climate actions at Council and in our community
• Provide technical advice and support to Council and our community on a range of environment and sustainability matters 
• Assist with the planning and implementation of Council's environment and sustainability related projects and programs. 

You'll have a relevant Bachelor Degree, with related industry experience to undertake the role OR a lesser formal qualification with substantial relevant industry experience, as well as experience in community engagement and/or strategy development, the ability to research funding opportunities and write funding applications and a current driver's licence. You'll have well developed skills in managing and analysing data with strong organisational skills.
