Animal Emergency Australia (AEA) provide after-hours animal care. We are a National Animal Emergency and Critical Care (ECC) company that is comprised of Emergency and General Practices around Australia under the branding of Animal Emergency Service, with locations based in Brisbane, Sunshine Coast, Gold Coast and Hobart.
  
Our Victoria practice is opening in May 2024!!!
  
The new AES Hawthorn East practice is a purpose built emergency and critical care centre focussed on providing outstanding clinical care. With nearly 20 years of clinical experience in the veterinary profession, our team has seen and navigated through significant changes and challenges in veterinary industry.

About the Role 
Reporting into and coached by our Chief of Hospitals, the Hospital Director (Hawthorn East) will be responsible for inspiring our leadership team in Hawthorn to achieve its vision and clinical ambitions, and to deliver its team, leadership, client and financial strategic targets.

The Hospital Director will work cohesively with the hospital leadership team, including specialists based in the hospital that support this role in financial, human resources and clinical operations, to lead and coach our hospital team around our vision, values and goals.

There is also a National team at AEA that supports the Hospital Director, by providing services to Hawthorn practice, such as marketing, IT, human resources, payroll, finance, inventory and operations.

You will be an experienced veterinary clinician who wants to help professionals in our industry and create an environment for them to do and be their best.  You will be passionate, motivated, committed to patient care, and share a vision for a collaborative working environment, where referring veterinarians and pet owners receive high quality services.
  
As a seasoned leader, you will have experience in building and maintaining key relationships and exceptional communication skills.
  
Requirements:
  
  • Current Veterinary registration.
  • Experience building and leading a team.
  • Experience with start ups (desirable not essential)
  • Committed to providing optimal patient care.
  • Ability to work efficiently and independently.
  • Exceptional organisational and communication skills.
  • Purpose driven with a goal to make improvements in the veterinary industry.
