As a Clinical Lead, you will work closely with the Regional Coordinator in the day-to-day running of the clinic and you will be a member of the management team across the region responsible for the professional management of all clinical operations. Clinical operations include managing, training and supervising veterinary associates, graduates and nursing staff, as well as being hands-on in the delivery of veterinary services to patients and clients according to Apiam Standards of Care.

About the role

As a Clinical Lead, you will have everything at your fingertips to diagnose and work-up your cases in our fully equipped small animal hospital. Digital xrays including dental, ultrasound, surgical theatre, intensive care, in-house laboratory, bair huggers…the list goes on! The ambulatory equine and farm side of the practice has well set up clinic cars with all you need to offer best practice to the larger fur babies.

Samford Valley Veterinary Hospital, located in the picturesque endearing Samford Valley 25km northwest of Brisbane. Close to everything, but with a beautiful chic village vibe and breathtakingly stunning countryside. Samford Valley Veterinary Hospital is part of Apiam Animal Health which is comprised of Australia’s leading Production Animal and Mixed Animal veterinary practices. We are a collaborative, forward-thinking team who feel like family.  The caseload is broad and varied – we really do see it all here! The practice is approximately 80% Small Animals, 20% Large Animal predominately equine.   

Who we are looking for:

We are looking for a self-motivated leader that is closely aligned to our purpose Enriching the lives of Animals, People & Communities .

• Ideally you will have 5+ years’ experience in companion or mixed practice
• Strong surgery skills and routine GP medicine
• Experience in leading a team with demonstrated mentoring experience
• Leads by example and has a positive can-do approach
